I have a theory that true sustainability is dependent on classic spiritual values like empathy, generosity, compassion, love and the like — you know, all the qualities that the world’s wisdom traditions have been encouraging us to adopt for the last several millennia.
Both Buddhism and newcomer-to-the-wisdom-block quantum physics espouse, for example, the belief is that there’s no separation between self and other. From that perspective, the Golden Rule — treat others as you’d like to be treated — makes perfect sense.
I’m developing a universalist, non-sectarian approach to introduce more of these values and the self-awareness that they entail to the world of social entrepreneurship. Please help me by sharing five minutes to answer this questionnaire about how you’ve found spiritual values or self-awareness (or whatever you’d like to call it) important to your work. And to walk my talk: if you’d like to see the survey results, I’m happy to share them with you.
